For fine car looks and
luxury, it's Mercury in 1964 |

Here is a LOVEfords
favorite: The 1964 Mercury Montclair Marauder 4-door Hardtop.
Montclairs were distinctive with their wide band of chrome on the rear
quarter panel that tapered down as it went forward; the Montclair name is
on the rear fender, too. The color is Fawn, and it has optional Deluxe
Wheel Covers with Spinners. It came with a 390 2V engine as standard
equipment. Some of the features that made a Mercury a
Montclair were pleated door panels with paddle-type door handles,
map/trunk/ashtray lights, fender-sight directional signals and a choice of
cloth and vinyl or all-vinyl interiors. Just 8,655 lucky people became
owners of a Mercury like this and it is a sure bet that each and every one
of them was proud of their choice. |
