FACT: Ford provides extra driver conveniences not found in Plymouth.
FORD

All Ford instrument panels have safety-padded hoods which shield the instrument cluster from glare. All dials and even minor controls are highlighted. Ford's windshield wiper blades are a full 16 inches long - for optimum visibility in rain or snow.

The passengers and driver have more foot room up front, due to the lower transmission hump and also because both the heater motor and windshield wiper motor are in the engine compartment, out of the way along with the inherent motor noises.

PLYMOUTH

The Fury III does not offer a padded instrument cluster hood as standard equipment. It is part of the extra-cost option on all Plymouth models. The larger dials on the Plymouth instrument panel are lighted, but various other controls are not. Plymouth's windshield wiper blade is only 14 inches long.

Heater and windshield motors are housed right in the passenger compartment of a Plymouth where they can intrude on foot room and create noise.
