COUGAR - longer, roomier, and more powerful.
There's European road car flair in the racy Cougar convertible.
Cougar, the car that found instant success two years ago, combines the best of two worlds in 1969 - beautiful America and classic Europe.

The longer, roomier Cougar offers more features as standard equipment than any other car in its class - including a new 351-cubic-inch V-8 engine. Leading the optional engine selection is a muscular CJ 428 V-8 with 335 horsepower, which is accompanied by a handling package, fiber-glass belted tires and contrasting black and silver stripe along the edges of the hood powerdome.

Two jaunty convertibles are now paired with two-door hardtops in Cougar's lineup. And in the ultimate XR-7 series, where good grooming is a Cougar hallmark, sport-model features include glove-soft genuine leather-and-vinyl interiors, remote control racing-type mirror keyed to the body color, map pockets located on the back of the bucket seats, and rocker-type instrument panel switches.
