With the addition of the
hot-performing Mach I SportsRoof fastback and the luxuriously appointed
Grande Hardtop, a new generation of longer, lower Mustangs makes the scene
in 1969.
Every '69 version of
America's favorite specialty car - including the familiar hardtop,
SportsRoof, and convertible - is designed for today's "space-age"
traveler. More room inside and increased trunk capacity add up to uncommon
comfort and convenience in a sports-type vehicle. Among many most-wanted
options are a deluxe three-spoke steering wheel that features a rim-blow
horn switch built into the inner side of the steering wheel rim and a
power ventilating system that uses the air inlet and heater blower to
provide improved ventilation for windows-up comfort.
Three new engine options
are available, increasing Mustang's lineup to eight. Top on the option
list is the 428-cubic-inch, 4-barrell, Ram Air Cobra Jet V-8, rated at 335
horsepower. |
