The Bobcat Runabout,
with more desirable features than ever, is designed for versatility. With
the rear seat up, there's room and comfort for four passengers. With one
hand, release the rear seat fold-down latch and you convert your Bobcat to
a cargo-carrier able to carry all your gear from fishing rods to skiis.
The pneumatically-assisted rear liftgate makes loading easy: lift it up
and it stays out of the way. With the rear seat folded forward you have a
full five feet of cargo space. The Bobcat Runabout, with its 2.3 litre
engine and four-speed manual transmission is a car with good fuel economy
at an affordable price. Bobcat is a car that solves a lot of problems.
The Bobcat in the lower part of the picture is
shown with the optional Flip-up and Removable Moonroof that comes with a
sunscreen and stowage bag. It is also equipped with the optional Sports
Package which includes: tri-color bodyside tape stripe with stylized
Bobcat head on front fender; tri-color hood and lower back panel tape
stripes; styled steel wheels; painted white dual racing mirrors; all-glass
third door; black paint treatment to wiper arms/window frames/belt
areas/drip and windshield moldings/rocker panel moldings. The Bobcat
Runabout in Tangerine shown above also has the optional all-glass third
door and forged aluminum wheels.
While it's the smallest Mercury, Bobcat is big on style. The optional
deluxe interior, shown above is tangerine Alpine cloth and vinyl. The
all-vinyl deluxe interior is shown below in black. And how about that
mini-console? Another thoughtful touch, standard in Bobcat.
