1978 Ford Pinto 3-Door Runabout

Pinto's standard 2.3 litre OHC 4-cylinder engine, with a 4-speed manual floor-mounted gearbox, is EPA rated at 25mpg city/35mpg highway.

This is the Pinto 3-door Runabout in Light Blue (3U) with optional Valino grain half-vinyl roof, Exterior Decor Group, Deluxe Bumper Group, and wire wheel covers. It has all the new standard equipment that makes any Pinto a smart choice, plus: a fold-down rear seat that turns into a roomy cargo carrier. And a third door (optional All-Glass Third Door is shown), that opens extra wide for easy access.
This Pinto 3-Door Runabout is shown in Bright Red (2R) with optional Accent Tape Stripe. Styled Steel Wheels, RWL tires, and Flip-Up Open Air Roof (all optional) add to its spirited appearance. The Open-Air Roof option includes a removable sunshade and a tinted glass panel which opens to a vent position or removes completely. A case for glass and sunshade fits in trunk.
The 3-Door Runabout cargo space shows off the folding rear set that reveals 29 cubic feet of very usable carrying space. The standard third door (right) lifts easily to give quick access to a load floor five feet long (with rear seat down).
