LOVEfords honors Ford Motor Company's First 100 Years Dear LOVEfords Visitor: This week the world will be watching Dearborn, Michigan, U.S.A., as Ford Motor Company celebrates its Centennial Anniversary. So many words have been written, so many images have been conjured up in the minds of excited participants, and so many hopes of this glorious event will be fulfilled that anything LOVEfords can add would be merely one more little dab of icing on Ford's giant birthday cake. There just aren't enough of the right words for me to say that will adequately express how excited I am as I make the trip to Dearborn to be part of what will undoubtedly be the biggest, happiest, and most colorful Ford event ever. I hope you will be able to share in the excitement, too. If you can't make it to Dearborn, hop in your Ford, Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln, Ford truck, or put that Ford tractor to work - let's have many millions of Ford wheels rolling this weekend as a tribute to the Blue Oval. LOVEfords is a privately-owned site, and it is maintained because of my love for and my commitment to Ford and its products. There is no other agenda, hidden or otherwise. While many people at Ford, from executives to assembly line workers, already know of my personal devotion to the Company, I am taking this opportunity to say "Thank You, Ford", for all you have done for our world in so many ways. You have given us good jobs, reliable vehicles, community awareness, mobility to the masses, and a vision of a constantly improving future for mankind - for these things we are grateful, and look forward to the next 100 years and beyond. It's so much more than the glamour of a Thunderbird, the reliability of a Model T, the prestige of a Lincoln, or the excitement of a Mustang. So very much more. It is the world's greatest hobby, it is millions of dreams come true, it is pride, and it is passion. Thank you, to all of the people, world-wide, who have been part of Ford Motor Company in the past 100 years. It's because of you that we LOVEfords. (Signed) John Rotella, founder of LOVEfords "You can pay more, but you can't buy better than the Ford"
