50 years. |

Who among us does not have a Pinto
or a Bobcat story? After all, in just ten years over 2,600,000 Pintos were
sold, and then there were another 215,000 Bobcats sold during its six
years of production. Indeed, a Ford enthusiast in the Syracuse area told
me that she was born in a Pinto!...literally, during
a snowstorm which made roads impassable. What a great way to start one's
life...in one of America's most popular cars ever! LOVEfords spotlights
the reliable, economical, and stylish
1978 Ford Pinto and Mercury Bobcat.

This is how Homer Heller
Ford of Escondido, California looked in 1967. The large "Ford" script sign
at the right is not the normally-seen Ford Motor Company logo, but
nonetheless makes a positive first impression for this dealership. A
Diamond Blue Thunderbird 4-door Landau is parked in front, possibly
waiting for its new owner to drive it home today. And a Falcon pokes its
nose into the picture at the far right. |

Don Emmett is happy. He just paid a visit to a Lincoln-Mercury dealer. |
You're invited to take a
LOVEfords-look at some Ford, Edsel, Lincoln-Mercury, Ford Truck, and Ford
Tractor dealerships from years gone by. Are any of them still operating
today? Most of the dealership pictures come from the Ford Motor Company
1961 Annual Report. They give you an idea of the way dealerships used to
look; the cars, trucks, and tractors were brand-new and ready to become
just a few more reasons to LOVEfords.

Classic beauty, unexcelled
craftsmanship, and dignified prestige. Just three of the reasons why
Lincoln is not only the most outstanding motorcar of our generation, but a
genuinely wise investment as well.
Of course, all
Lincoln-built motorcars are equipped with Lincoln's exclusive power
steering, power brakes, dual-range automatic transmission and Uniframe
construction. When one considers the value of these motoring refinements
and the many other built-in Lincoln features, it is even more obvious that
Lincoln is, indeed, a most judicious choice for the discerning buyer. |

Be it 1963 or 2004, few
other cars have the look, the glamour, the mystique or the desirability of
a Lincoln Continental...especially a convertible.
The Continental Magazine
was published exclusively for members of this privileged-owners club, sent
to their mailbox every two months. |
 |
In February, 1963 one of the
lead articles focused on the history of the Continental convertible and
its place in the motoring world of present.
Here is that story,
word-for-word, exactly as the Continental owner of the day saw it: "Lure
of the 'Touring Cars" ...by Burgess H. Scott. |

Attention
Please: 1959 Lincoln Owners and Fans |
|
LOVEfords'
extensive library of factory brochures, data books, and shop
manuals has recently acquired a 180-page dealer sales manual
for the 1959 Lincoln, Lincoln Premiere and Lincoln
Continental Mark IV - including the Town Car Formal Sedan
and Limousine.
It
isn't possible for LOVEfords present the thousands of pages
from hundreds of pieces of literature on hand. However if it
is "in stock" in Camillus, New York then it is as good as
being on your computer.
Just ask.
The
1959 Lincoln and Continental brochure
is, however, on-line.
As always,
the resources of LOVEfords are at your fingertips for the
asking. Regardless of which Ford, Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln,
or Ford Truck, your questions are always taken seriously and
answered within 24 hours. Because we LOVEfords as much as
you do. |
