Mike's "1963 1/2" Galaxie 500 is Peacock Blue with a Corinthian White roof
- this is factory-applied two-tone paint job. It has a turquoise cloth
and vinyl interior. Mike says this: I purchased my Ford
in January of 2006 and I am the second owner. Only the roof and one
small section of the right quarter panel have been repainted. The rest
of the paint is the original stuff applied by Henry's boys at the Dallas
assembly plant in 1963. With only 89,000 original miles the 352 V-8 and
Cruise-O-Matic transmission still get the job done nicely and the car is
a pleasure to drive.
I give special thanks to the original owners, Fred and Mary Zinn, who
so lovingly preserved this wonderful Ford for so many years. Mary, and
daughter Judy, were responsible for picking out the beautiful color
combination when Fred traded their black '57 Fairlane 500 in on this
car...great choice, Mary and Judy! |
