Ed Kitzhofer's 1955 Lincoln Custom Sport Coupe
Ed Kitzhofer says: Here are some pictures of the old girl - she will need a lot of work but she's complete and the frame is rock solid. You will be glad to know that it was the information you helped supply that was the determining factor to keep and restore this Lincoln. It was really close to being crushed because of its appearance. Another one saved because you LOVEfords!
LOVEfords says: This 1955 Lincoln Custom Sport Coupe was just one of 1,362 made that year. Its original colors of Chalet Blue Metallic and Ermine White (two-tone paint code 52) can be seen fairly clearly; its graceful and glamorous Lincoln styling is impossible to hide.

It was built at the Wayne, Michigan assembly plant on or about December 18, 1954. This body style was in fact the least-produced of all 1955 Lincolns, making it uncommon when it was new and certainly downright "rare" in 2005. Ed reports that its Massachusetts license plate is dated 1964. Congratulations, Ed, on rescuing this Lincoln. We know that every LOVEfords visitor joins us in wishing you much success with your plans for it, and many happy and proud miles behind the wheel in the future.
