Mustang Sally is a 1965 Vintage Burgundy Fastback, with a 289 A-code
engine that has never been disassembled; it was merely removed, detailed
and reinstalled. The engine fires up instantly and purrs like a kitten,
the transmission and differential were removed and inspected but no
rebuilding was necessary. The car went under a complete rotisserie
restoration; any item that was restorable was restored not replaced. The
cost of doing it this way is extremely higher but the results give the
vehicle that original look.
She was born on October 7,
1965 which happens to be my sister's birthday, she is one of the first
fastbacks to roll off the assembly line. The only options were front disc
brakes, day/night mirror, lower rocker moldings, and tinted glass. I
figure the car was destined to become a drag racer but somehow dodged the
bullet. |

The early fastbacks are
starting to disappear, plus if you add in the fact that more and more
people are doing modifications to the early fastbacks, soon all of the
originals will disappear. The originality of Mustang Sally is absolutely
phenomenal, right down to the original headlights that have FoMoCo
embossed into the glass. She truly is "The Finest 1965 Fastback in the
