Loren Peterson says: My
1968 Mercury Colony Park is a Q code 428 4v (1459 built). It was built in
St. Louis and delivered to the Berkley, California Lincoln Mercury
as a demonstrator. It still has the original license plate frame. It
has been lowered and has American Racing Salt Flat Special wheels with
Goodyear 16"rubber on the front and 17" on the rear. I have everything to
take it back to stock but like the changes for my personal use. It has an
am/fm/cd stereo and upgraded speakers in the original bezels. It has a
rebuilt C6 transmission and has new brakes, shocks and a radiator. The
original air conditioner, power windows and power seats still work great.
I like the bigness and serves me well because my two dogs like to go where
my wife and I go! I have also added electronic ignition along with a set
of gauges and a tachometer. About all that it needs is a new carpet. |
