1917 Ford Model T Roadster

Dick Rozum

Rozum Motor Company was started in 1917 by my grandfather, Anthony J. Rozum.

Tony's first sale was this 1917 Model T Roadster. According to my father, we

were able to buy this car back in the early 50s and have kept it ever since. Today, the dealership is operated by my brother Jim and myself and we keep this car in our showroom. Why, we could never part with this one!

About 12 years ago or so, I learned how to drive a Model T. It is very different than any other car as John Rotella and Adrian Clements will attest, as they drove the car when they came to visit last summer. The Tin Lizzie requires quite a bit of concentration to drive. We do drive it around a little in the summer months, but she is kind of cantankerous so we don't stray to far from the dealership. I would have to say that the Model A was a vast improvement over the T.
