The Sign of the Cat:  1967 Mercury Cougar
Cougar's interior is planned for passenger comfort and features outstanding room for a personal car. Sport-type 3-spoke steering wheel has a heavily padded hub, and the facing half of the wheel is simulated wood-grain (the lower half and spokes are color-keyed). Full instrumentation is positioned for easy viewing; panel is padded. Instrument panel courtesy light, glove box light, and glove box light are all standard. Courtesy lights in rear roof panels and doors complete this brilliant interior. Also shown are optional Whisper-Aire Conditioner, Visual Check Panel, and Sports Console.

Above: Optional Finger-Tip Speed Control maintains desired speed and is mounted on turn-signal lever.

At left: Tilt-Away Steering Wheel option moves to nine different positions and swings away for easy entrance.
