Riverside Lodge

This up-to-the-minute lodge is a quarter-mile southeast of Minot, North Dakota, on US Highway 2, near the State Fair Grounds. Famous for steaks, seafood, and barbecued dishes, the dining room of the Riverside Lodge is open from 5:00 PM until midnight, every day except Sunday. Motel accommodations are available. Reservations recommended.


Barbecue Sauce


Ingredients
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 1/2 clove garlic, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups catsup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Combine the ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. At the Lodge, this sauce is served with the specialty of the house, "Smokqued Ribs".
