The first newspaper in town was published in this house which was built in 1670. Closed Monday, Saturday night, and Sunday night; open for lunch and dinner on all other days. Reservations necessary for dinner. Open March through November.


   Pineapple Mintfreeze


Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  • green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup ginger ale

Directions

1. Put sugar, water, mint, and food coloring in saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes.

2. Add lemon juice, pineapple, and ginger ale, and pour into bowl

3. Freeze and serve either as a dinner sherbet or a refreshing dessert. Delicious also as a fruit salad topping.
