Ingredients
- 1 dozen medium-size cucumbers
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 medium-size onion
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pint sweet whipping cream
- 1 pint vinegar
Directions
1. Wash, peel, and slice cucumbers and place in earthen jar.
2. Add salt and sliced onion, then cover jar with cheesecloth, plate,
and weight. Let stand 6 hours and drain off water.
3. Add sugar and mix until dissolved; then add pepper and vinegar.
4. Stir in cream. Put in refrigerator until cold and crisp.
