1958 Mercury Paint Color Codes
Solid color cars have the prefix "1" before the 2-digit color code, i.e.,
"107" refers to a solid color car painted Marble White (code 07).
Two-tone color cars have the prefix "2" before a pair of 2-digit
color codes. i.e., "20701".
Tri-tone color cars have the prefix "3" before a pair of 2-digit color
codes, i.e., "30107". Tri-tone color cars also have the prefix "8" before
a pair of 2-digit color codes. The difference in the two codes is the
color of the projectile area.
Flo-tone color cars have the prefix "4" before a pair of 2-digit color
codes, i.e., "40107" . Flo-tone color cars also have the prefix "9" before
a pair of 2-digit color codes. The diffeence in the two codes is the color
of the projectile area. |
